Bonnie & Barry,
We are believing for an outbreak of healings that is greater than Barryโs illness; and we stand in agreement with this by the operative blood of our Lord and Savior Yeshua the Christ.

Barry (and Barry's family) - I have been staring at this message for a while, because I want you to know how much you mean to my family. The best way to put it is that you will most likely not know it, but you have a huge impact on many girls. My two daughters love volleyball thanks to their dad, but they thrive thanks to you. They have enjoyed Capitol Hill Classic, and AU summer camps. I will never forget how in my attempt to step back from being a tiger mom several years ago, I told my then 12 year old that I will not go to the camp and ask for her to be moved up from the court she was assigned which had several girls that were just starting out when she had played for a couple of years. She did not look forward to going back the second day. At the end of the day, she explained how someone else had their father come in where the player moved up a court. We discussed how volleyball is her sport and she needs to advocate for herself. Day 3 was another day she was not looking forward to, but she came back with a surprising story: one of your coaches asked her if she was enjoying the camp. She responded by saying she liked it but was not being challenged. He then told her to follow him... to the "big girls court". I had assumed it was one where the girls were a couple years older than her, so I did not think much of it. On the last day, I went in early to pick them up and watch a bit since I know the awards are always impactful to them, so when I scanned the courts to try to find them, I could not find my 12 year old where I expected. I finally found her on the center court with much older girls (she was so tiny!!) digging with a huge smile. I asked her what her feelings were when she figured out where she would be playing . Her thoughts were "what did I get myself into?" but quickly realized this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and she was not going to let it get away.
This experience has made an impact in her volleyball, volunteering, and in her academics. She has become a strong player, team mate, and individual because she then understood what she could do.
She has since brought many teammates to AU camps, and loved every moment. We have gone to several AU games as a family, after which we talk through so many aspects of volleyball that are great to see up close and in person.
Please know that my family is thinking of you. We would not be where we are without you.
